Preschool

All children aged six weeks to Pre-Kindergarten are welcome and we can’t wait to meet them. We have created a weekly environment to foster the unique growth and learning stages of the preschool years while parents attend worship and Study Group. Our values of Truth, Mission, and Community are integrated with our ministry to preschoolers because we believe that making disciples starts at the very beginning. Our desire is to see children learn who Jesus is and what Jesus did while helping parents be their child’s primary disciple-maker. Focus is given to age-appropriate Bible stories and lessons, music that teaches core truths of the Bible, and fun activities that help children relate to one another as well as our excellent Team Members. We want each child to know that God made them, God loves them, and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

WHAT WE DO

We partner with you for the spiritual growth of your child.

Our purpose is to help parents guide children toward a knowledge of Jesus Christ and help establish a biblical foundation that can be built upon for the rest of their lives.

We plan a full session for your child each time he or she is at church.

The session includes age-appropriate activities, centers, art, songs, and games. Group time includes Bible stories, music, prayer, and sharing time.

We provide safety, security, and a sense of well-being for each child.

Our preschool security system includes a check-in that provides a name-tag, parent pick-up tag, information and special instructions including allergy information. All of our excellent Team Members have been screened through background checks and we require at least two adults in each room at all times. Our preschool hall is only accessible through secured doors.

We use play and hands-on activities to teach preschoolers God’s truths.

Preschoolers, by God’s design, are made to play. It is their work and it is the best arena for learning. Play provides many teachable moments for preschoolers to learn about God, Jesus, the Bible, church, nature, self, families, and others. We do this through hands-on activities using art, blocks, books, music, puzzles, nature items, toys, and home-living and dramatic play. We also use Bible stories and Bible-related conversations. These experiences help infants through Pre-Kindergarten children learn Bible truths through play and during the day-to-day activities of life.

We provide materials for Bible learning to continue at home.

Each Sunday, preschoolers receive take-home pages to help parents reinforce the Bible learning for that session. This material includes the Bible story and some related activities that your child hears and experiences at church. We are so happy to be partners with parents, building foundations for faith as children grow in their relationship with God.
