The church exists to make disciples. Discipleship is more than merely knowing facts about the Bible; it should help you live in a way that honors the Lord and serves as a witness to others. We know that life is sometimes difficult and that the culture is increasingly moving away from godly principles. Therefore, we want to equip you to study the Bible, know what it teaches, and how to apply those truths to your life and world in a way that demonstrates authentic love for Jesus.

Study Groups

Sunday Morning at 9:30

Study Groups are our primary educational tool and meet every week. Classes cover everything from Bible exposition to thinking biblically about current events. There is a class for every person at Smyrna First, so let us help you get plugged in.

Midweek Connect

Wednesday Night at 5:30

Midweek Connect is designed to help you fellowship with the saints, get equipped for discipleship and disciple-making, and prepare for Corporate Worship. We eat a meal together, gather for Study Groups and Family Ministry, and our Worship Team rehearses. Wednesday nights are a great way to refocus your week on Christ.

Community Groups

Various Times

Community Groups are all about fellowship, life application, and prayer. These groups experience life together, meeting weekly in each other’s homes. Every person needs a community of friends to help them along the way. Community Groups are the place to make those connections.

Men’s Discipleship

We value the leadership and testimony of men in the church. Our desire is that every man spend regular time in God’s Word, applying it to his daily living. We want to equip you with simple tools that will help you read, understand, and apply God’s Word in your life. But we don’t want any soldier to battle alone, but stand shoulder to shoulder with his brothers in authentic discipleship.

There are various men’s classes and events throughout the year and regular Discipleship Groups that meet throughout the year.

Women’s Mentoring

We value the nurture and godly wisdom of women. Our desire is for women to spend regular time in God’s Word, foster an intimate relationship with Jesus, and apply his truth to their lives. In a culture that is increasingly losing God’s plan for womanhood, we teach a beautiful vision of what God has made women to be and seek to help every woman realize her true identity in Christ. Following the model of older instructing younger, our Women’s Ministry is designed to put you into a community that will encourage, strengthen, and grow your faith. Classes are offered throughout the year as well as various events and mentoring groups.
